After installing the most recent BIOS CDCN53WW from Lenovo's site I started having issues with the screen and sleep, Sound familiar? The first BIOS's for the Y700 had screen/sleep black screen issues. To see if it was being caused by the recent BIOS update I wanted to revert to the previous BIOS that was performing well.

Performance of high speed NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD is capped at ~1600MB/s when installed in the Lenovo Y700 Laptop.

I just received my new Lenovo Y700, First thing was to open it up and install a new Samsung 950 Pro SSD in the available M.2 slot. The advantage of buying without the SSD is you don't end up with the PM951 with terrible write speeds or the CV1 M.2 Series again with not that great write speeds. The 1TB slim HDD is left in place for storage.
